Hello everyone!! I'll get right to the point of the title of my email today. So I'm sure everyone has heard about high school football in Texas. I had heard about it before too and thought it couldn't really be that much better than football in Utah, but I got proven wrong this past Friday! Halfway through the day we got a text from one of our members saying that he got tickets for us to go to the football game that night. So of course we accepted them! We arrived at the tailgate and even that was awesome, but then we took our seats. And yes people even have reserved seats and basically season passes to high school football games here. The stadium apparently holds 12000 people which is crazy for high school, and I also think that the parents and family sections get more into it than the student section which was fun! But turns out famous qb Drew Brees went to the high school here and he came out on the field before the game and said hi to everyone. Apparently Joe Rogan was also there because he lives so close and comes to the games frequently. This was also a big game because it was rival schools playing each other! Lake Travis vs West Lake, people call it the battle of the lakes. It was a super good game but we had to leave after halftime cuz we had to be home at 9. Missionary work at football games goes crazy tho. We got 4 finds (which is basically a new investigator) and I don' even know how many people came up and talked to us about anything! It was an amazing experience.

A couple other highlights from the week:
- served at The Ladies of Lake Travis thrift store. It's literally a thrift store run by a bunch of old ladies that are super nice! We got out and set up all their Christmas decorations which i did not know such a little store could have so many Christmas decorations cuz it took us 2 hours.
- went on exchanges with Elder Carpenter which was super fun cuz he is from Syracuse and ran track there. So it was fun to talk to him about that
- basically got asked to perform an exorcism! This lady came up to us in the library and talked to us for 30 min about how she thinks her family is possessed by demons and asked us to come to her house sometime and perform an exorcism. We told her we would talk to our mission president...
Missionary thought: this past week people really seemed to like to talk about charity so I've been thinking about it a lot. This morning in my personal study i also read Moroni chapter 7. So it just so happens that Moroni 7:47-48 talk all about charity. Specifically, verse 48 talks about praying "with all the energy of heart that ye may be filled with his love." When we have charity, we are true followers of Jesus christ and other people will recognize that too. Another amazing promise that comes from having charity is "that we may have his hope, that we may be purified even as he is pure." After reading this i set a goal to always remember to pray to have charity and I invite you all to do the same. These are some blessings I don't want to miss out on and I feel are essential to missionary work.

I love you all and hope you have a great week. All your emails and messages are fun to read! I guess Halloween is this week so I can't wait to hear about that!
