Snow and Ice in Texas? It is officially colder here in Austin than it is back home in Kaysville. As of right now, it is 21° in Kaysville, and 17° degrees here! So no one can make fun of me anymore for saying it is cold here!  It also rained quite a bit Saturday night + the humidity and now everything is just a big sheet of ice. That's not an exaggeration. So we basically have been stuck in our apartment since then because its not safe to drive and we live way outside of our area! Been doing lots of social media work and studying!! Woot woot! But, stuff happened before the freeze thats more entertaining. One cool experience hapend Tuesday night. Me and Elder Christensen had tried going to visit some people that we had stopped by in the past, but none of them answered the door. So we decided to walk around the neighborhood and talk to anyone that was out! We didn't talk to anyone for probably half an hour and it was basically dark at this point so we were about to leave when I sa...

Me and Elder Routson! Sweet pictures that are way more entertaining than reading:  https://photos.app.goo.gl/ XdnGgKSD4vJwVCGv8 I hope everyone had another good week. I hear theres still not really any snow at home so thats kinda lame. It gets a little chilly down here sometimes but I'm still waiting for this big freeze thats supposed to happen sometime soon, so stay tuned.  Welcome to the Bee Cave This week was an interesting week in the sense that a lot of stuff happened, but none of it was anything extraordinary. So theres lots of quick highlights but there was a cool story with a guy that we found. We decided to go stop by a woman in our area that hadn't bad a stop by in a while but she was a 30 min drive to the edge our area. So the entire time driving out there I was praying to make this worth our time and when we got there she actually wasnt home l, but her son was in the driveway fixing his car!! Thank the lord because of course we talked to him, he was nice, sa...

Olà everyone! How has adjusting back into normal life gone? Hope its been pretty good for everyone. This might be a shorter email from me because really not that much happened this past week. I also forgot to write in my journal a lot, sorry mom I think I forgot to say this last week but I got transfer news last Sunday and I am staying here in Hamilton Pool (West Austin) for 6 more weeks with Elder Christensen! I'm super excited for it because I love this area and feel like there's still a lot of good that I can get done here!  We had a youth ice cream social on Wednesday night with all the youth in the stake and it was really fun. We played a game called nuke em which I had never played before and its honestly just a weird version of volleyball. Jordan the young man we just baptized came and it was a good time with him there!  Other highlights:  - Torchys Tacos is pretty awesome - also got some really good Texmex food from brother Ford - built some Legos!! I got a giraff...

Pics:  https://photos.app.goo.gl/ XdnGgKSD4vJwVCGv8 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! So this was probably the best week of my life! I apologize in advance cuz this is going to be a long email. Jordan was baptized   Saturday morning, and then confirmed yesterday during sacrament meeting!! He was baptized by a young man in our ward who helped us teach him and they are good friends! I got to give a talk about the Holy Ghost at his baptism, and then stand in the circle as he was confirmed!  Elder Christensen, Jordan and Me! The most amazing part from this weekend was the things I learned though. I will say, on Saturday after Jordans baptism, I weirdly didn't feel the joy that I thought I would feel after my first baptism, or that I have heard so many other missionaries feel when they baptize someone. It was weird, I was happy for him, but I thought I would just have this completely overwhelming feeling of joy and sense of accomplishment wash over me, but I didn't. Fast forward to sac...
