"I'm just trying to make people happy, that's all I wanna do!" - Elvis
What is up everyone!?! Hope ya'll are doing good! Thanks for all the prayers
for me because they paid off this past week! We put Jordan on date to be baptized on December 27th!! He was a facebook referral that we have taught 4 times now and has come to church twice. He's 18 and just graduated high school and was looking for a church to join and found ours! I have never met anyone that is more ready to be baptized than he is! It's so exciting! When we asked him we were teaching him the gospel of Jesus Christ which is faith, repentance, baptism, and receiving the Holy Ghost. After teaching it to him we asked if he wanted to be baptized, and he said "of course I want to!" So keep up the prayers for Jordan and I'm stoked for his baptism
Also quick explanation of my title today. We were at a restaurant this past week and ordered our food all together. When they asked for the name for the order we told them Elders cuz we thought it would be fun and apparently they heard Elvis so they had an order for Elvis, not Elders! Basically the same thing. But I also found this quote from him and liked it so I thought I would share it. plus that's all I'm trying to do is just make people happy!
Me, my companion, and the other elders in my district got to go to the San Antonio Temple last Wednesday! It was an amazing experience getting to travel there and back, and of course I truly love every time I get to go to the temple! I don't think I'll get to go very much during the mission so I cherish every time I can! I always feel the spirit so strongly every time I go so I would encourage yall to go as soon as you can.
Other Highlights from the week:
- Last P-day we played ultimate frisbee and football against the other elders in our zone and we totally destroyed them.

- Bought some brand new scriptures from the distribution store at the temple.
- Got to have dinner with the Bushmans again, she is the one from Brazil who hardly speaks any english so I got to practice my Portuguese again!
- Had our ward Christmas breakfast Saturday Morning which was really fun

- hung out with the youth a lot, we played volleyball with them on Saturday and also went to mission and temple prep on Sunday
Spiritual Thought:
So yeah I'm gonna talk about temples today! Because every thing we teach in our church points back to the temple. Our hope is that all these people we teach keep moving along the covenant path to go to the temple one day. I find so much joy when I am in the temple and I hope you all do too because you should! This last time I went I also learned how powerfully we can feel the spirit there and that we can recieve our own personal revelation in the temple! I have a challenge for all of you that can this week set a time and appointment to go to the temple and I promise that you will not regret it and will feel the spirit! I can't wait for the Austin temple to be built here, and I can't wait to see the temple built in Mozambique!
Merry Christmas ya'll, I hope you are listening to all the Christmas tunes and watching all the Christmas movies!
